John Hoffart and his staff have a strong belief in keeping up with the cutting edge of
the portrait industry and all the new technology the industry has to offer.  The studio
started in 1996, and during the time since photography has grown and changed to be
what is today.  John has not only kept up with the changes that have occurred over
time, but he has built his studio to flourish and grow with these changes.  While other
studios were concerned with the change from film to digital, John's Photography was
already a digital studio.  However, John will not sacrifice the quality of his work just to
have the newest tricks of the trade.  All new technological advances have to meet
strict standards before they are implemented into the studio work flow.  These
standards have kept John's Photography ahead of its competition.

Last year was a first for John’s Photography.  I know I am crazy, but it was the first
time in over fifteen years that I let anyone else photograph whole sessions in my
studio.  Amanda Hrabak was not a stranger to the studio.  She has worked for the
studio for several years, most recently as our studio manager.  She has been
covering local sporting events since 2004.  When she expressed an interest in studio
portraiture, I knew she was up for the challenge.
I spent time teaching her and she spent a lot of time studying techniques.  We
submitted three portraits that she took this past year to the Mid-East Regional
professional print competition.  All three portraits scored high enough to be display in
the print exhibit.  Two of the three prints were awarded ribbons.  Amanda was named
one of the top portrait photographers in the state of Ohio.  I guess I must be a good
teacher!!   Amanda has just as much fun photographing seniors, as the seniors have
being photographed!
